Pain is the basis,
To the philosophies and religions.
Words might not mean a thing,
But to have disdain for the pain
One would miss, the depths of heart.
Love, ecstasy, pleasure, anger,
I did taste the depth of all,
But why not pain, I would recall.
Not on the body but pierced deep through the heart,
Pain I bring, the pain I missed.
A string, I knew mine, tore off.
Might not express, but words hardly can speak.
Not a day goes by without thought.
Can I get closer again? I doubt.
From afar the eyes see, the heart feels more,
The pain of missing hits deeper, let it be.
One short life, the body doesn’t merge,
What merges has to be let free.
The cage of bondage stuck deep in mind.
Pain, oh lord, must be the way.
