About Me
I hail from a small town- Raiganj, north of West Bengal, India. After my matriculation in 2015, I went to Kota for a couple of years to get coached for JEE (Advanced). Post that, I joined Jadavpur University in the Department of Electrical Engineering (2017-2021). I was extremely passionate about coaching students for JEE, and that's what I took up after my graduation for a couple of years (2021-2023), worked with Unacademy for a brief period, and together with a couple of trained faculties, planned our coaching institute Bodhiclasses. Parallelly, I was preparing for GATE CS and exploring the idea of pursuing a career of research. In Fall 2023, I secured admission in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering, IIT Mandi for pursuing a Ph.D., supervised by Dr. Siddharth Panwar, and had been on a wonderful journey ever since.
My pastimes include reading books (mostly non-fiction), playing Tabla, writing poems, occasionally reflecting about varied perspectives of life and our place in this Universe, and yes, I play a lot of Chess, albeit without any knowledge of theory whatsoever. I also have a knack for exploring Bharat's ancient treasure trove, and Ghiloo is a platform for expressing the same.
Currently, my area of research is centred around exploring signal processing techniques in neuropathology and trying to understand multivariate biosignals (specifically EEG) better, thereby better understanding the brain, and the theoretical limits of the temporal fidelity of EEG.
